Organizer Terms of Service
Last updated: October 5, 2026
These Organizer Terms govern organizers who publish events, sell tickets, or use the EventScreen backend. EventScreen is operated by Kinecio LLC (Kinecio, we, us), registered in Kansas, United States. The people who buy your tickets are covered by the separate Terms of Service for viewers. By scheduling an event or using the backend, you agree to these Organizer Terms.
1. Publishing events
- Organizer access is by application. We review each application and may approve or decline it. An organization is created, and you become its owner, only when we approve your application.
- Only publish events you have every right to stream: the content itself, any music, any people who appear, and any venue, league, or other licenses your jurisdiction requires.
- Event details must be accurate: title, description, schedule, and ticket price.
- Ticket prices are set in US dollars and must be at least $5.00. Sales are processed through the EventScreen checkout, which runs on Stripe.
- You choose whether an event is public or private. Private events are reached through a share link we generate. Treat that link as secret: anyone who has it can view and buy the event.
- You choose the replay retention period for each event, and it defaults to 7 days after the event ends. When the period ends, we delete the recording.
2. Fees and payments
- A flat fee is charged when you schedule an event: $15 per paid event and $20 per free event. It is charged up front and is not refundable except as set out in section 6.
- Free events may show an ad before the stream starts. Unless your organization has an active Ad Manager subscription, those ads are chosen and served by EventScreen, and EventScreen keeps the revenue from them. It is not shared with organizers.
- Paid events also pay a 12% commission on gross ticket sales. The commission is deducted from the proceeds of the event before payout, because it cannot be known until tickets sell.
- Ticket money is collected by EventScreen. Net proceeds (gross sales minus the commission and any refunds) are paid to you after the event through the payout process we arrange with you. Payouts may be batched, and you are responsible for providing accurate payout details.
- Fee changes apply only to events scheduled after the change takes effect. We will tell you before raising a fee.
3. Ad Manager add-on
Ad Manager is an optional add-on that inserts ad breaks into your events. It is billed separately: a base fee of $10 per month or $99 per year, which includes 5 GB of creative storage, plus $5 per event that has ads enabled at the moment its streaming resources are provisioned, plus charges for creative storage above 5 GB.
- You are responsible for having the rights to every ad creative you run and for complying with advertising law in every region where your viewers are located.
- We may refuse or remove creatives that violate these terms or the law.
- The base fee keeps the add-on active on your account. You can disable ads for an event at any time, including during the event as a kill switch, but the per-event fee still applies once the event was provisioned with ads on.
4. Your content and the license you grant
You keep ownership of your content. To run your events you grant Kinecio a license to receive, store, transcode, package, and stream your content, to keep it for the replay period you chose, and to use the service providers needed to do that. The license is limited to operating EventScreen for your events. You warrant that your content does not infringe anyone’s rights and that publishing it does not break the law.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not publish unlawful, defamatory, or harmful content.
- Do not use someone else’s stream or content without rights.
- Do not share your stream key or try to bypass access controls such as playback tokens.
- Do not interfere with the platform, its infrastructure, or other users’ events.
- Comply with the laws that apply where your viewers are located, including consumer, tax, and broadcasting rules.
6. Suspension, removal, and cancellation
We may remove events or content and suspend accounts that violate these Organizer Terms or the law. If we remove a scheduled event because you breached the terms, tickets are refunded to buyers and the flat fee you paid for that event is not refundable.
If we cancel an event because of a failure on our side, we refund the flat fee and do not apply the commission to refunded tickets. You can stop using the platform at any time by ending your events and not scheduling new ones. Recordings are kept only for the replay periods already set, and any proceeds that are owed to you are still paid out.
7. No guarantees and disclaimers
The platform is provided as is and as available. Live streaming depends on networks and equipment that neither you nor we fully control. We do not guarantee any number of viewers, any ticket sales, or any revenue for your events, and we are not responsible for lost revenue or interrupted events except as the law requires.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you from the platform or these Organizer Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $100. We are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Indemnification
You indemnify Kinecio and its service providers against claims arising from your events, your content, your ads, or your breach of these Organizer Terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Organizer Terms. When we make a material change, we update the date above and tell you on the platform or by email. Fee changes are announced before they apply to new events. If you keep using the backend after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These Organizer Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Kansas.
