Frequently asked questions
Short answers for viewers. For the full picture, read how EventScreen works, or the terms and privacy policy.
Do I need an account to buy a ticket?
You do not choose a password. You give an email address, and we send a sign-in link to it. The ticket is tied to that address, so use the same one each time.
I bought a ticket but the event page still asks me to buy.
Payment confirmation can take a minute. Check your email for the receipt, then reload the page. Make sure you are signed in with the same email address you used to buy. If it still does not work, write to [email protected] with the email address and the event name.
What devices can I watch on?
The player works in current desktop and mobile browsers. Apps for phones and TVs are being built, and they sign in with a code you enter on your phone. Only the web player is available for every event today.
Can I watch on two devices at once?
No. A ticket plays on one device at a time. Starting on a second device stops the first.
The picture is blurry or keeps stopping.
The player lowers the quality when your connection is slow. Try a wired or stronger Wi-Fi connection, close other apps that use the network, and reload the page. If you are behind a live event, use the button that returns you to the live edge.
Can I watch a replay?
Yes, while the organizer's replay window is open. The default is 7 days after the event ends. After that the recording is deleted.
Can I get a refund?
If an organizer cancels an event before it starts, you are refunded in full. After an event has aired, tickets are generally not refundable. See the Terms of Service for the full rules, and write to [email protected] to ask for one.
Why does a free event show an ad?
Free events can be supported by advertising, which is how they are paid for. The ad is served by Google. An organizer can remove it or play their own. Paid events do not show ads before the stream. You can choose generic ads instead of ads tailored to your interests.
Is my payment information safe?
Payments are handled by Stripe. EventScreen does not see or store your card number. What we collect and why is described in the Privacy Policy.
What is a private event?
A private event is not listed anywhere on EventScreen. You can only open it from the link the organizer gave you, and you still need a ticket to watch it.
I run events. How do I use EventScreen?
